I suppose first the question you all want to know, is the car better. Not yet but I am told is is getting better. Apparently the Injectors failed, a problem the MB had but I was assured was fixed before I purchased my car. Lets see how it goes from here.
On the golfing front the Annual Mens v Juniors match was played on Sunday. This year went for a 36 hole format with Greensomes in the morning and singles int he afternoon. In the morning Chris Miles and I took on George Colven and Alex Thompson. As I had given Alex a call on the Friday to persuade him to play it was quite good that he would be drawn against me. When I asked why he wasn't going to be available he said his Dad had arranged a trip but it was OK because they could do it another time now, the trip was to Barbados. Now that's dedication. Alex and George played very well as a team and ended up trouncing Chris and I 4&2 so thanks boys. In the afternoon singles I was up against Steve Beckett. we had a great match and I shot 2 under my handicap to escape with a half on the 18th (oh the trees Steve). Also in our group Nick Baker took on Amber, a new lady junior who has joined from Horsham Golf and fitness and I must say how impressed I was to find out she has only be playing a year and in that year her handicap has gone from 36 to 14. Unfortunately she was up against Nick who played very well but watch out in t he future as Amber will be a very good golfer. In the end the Juniors all played well and took the trophy winning 9.5 - 5.5 and took the trophy for the first time. I would like to congratulate James Gilham for getting his team together and leading them to victory. Also I would like to thanks both James and Richard for all the hard work they put into organising the day and making it a great success.
So after 54 holes on Saturday and Sunday I was up again bright and early to pick up Ryan and play in the south region captain pro event at Royal Ascot. The winners would win a trip to compete in Turkey in the finals. As always it a was a pleasure to play with Ryan. and on a windy day at Ascot we managed a fourball betterball total of 4 under. This was however not good enough to secure us in the prizes as we ended up joint 6th but out of 52 teams not too bad. Full results can be seen here http://hq.ocs-europe1.com/tic/tmtic.cgi?2010~class=GLF and if you look at our card you will see the bogeys at 11 and 17 cost us getting the extra 2 shots we needed. But thanks again to Ryan who gave up his day to play in this, I may even consider being Captain again just for another shot at this title (Only if I was ever wanted again of course).
And lastly a quick mention for John Jordan and Karen Ashcroft who won the the regional qualifiers of the Bader Cup and a trip to Portugal to play in the finals. I hope they get separate rooms.....

Unlucky at Ascot. I noticed the third placed team got an ace on the 11th hole.
