On Sunday we played our last Inter-Club match of the year. This was against Gatton and as these seem to be the club we have the most rivalry with it was always going to be fun. I was playing again with John Jordan who has served me well and today was no exception, we won the first 5 holes and were really comfortable from then on and we ended up winning the Match 6&5. John again played very well and I only had to come in when needed on a few holes. The rest of our pairings did well and we ended up winning 5-1. Our only loss was a match that we were 4 up in and ended up loosing, you know who you are, do better next time lol.
I just want to add my thanks to all the support we have had for the matches this year, these are fun events and we have previously had trouble getting enough players but this every match was well subscribed and I hope all that played had as much fun as I did. I hope it is the same next year for Richard K, and next year we MUST win the Cranleigh matches.
