Club Champs Day 1

So day 1 of the club Champs.

I got up to the club at 7:00 this morning to make sure everything was OK. It was great to have the help again this year from the Ladies section, it is invaluable otherwise a few of us on the committee would not be able to play.


10 minutes on the range and quick putt and I off, playing with Nick Baker and Dave Donaldson. I won't bore you with the whole round but a couple of pars to start and then a birdie with a long Putt off the green on three meant I had a good start and I ended up with 6 over 78. Now if you had asked me four years ago I would have said that was impossible for me, but today I was disappointed and thought I should have scored better. Maybe I need to get a real perspective.
Some great scores for Steve B. 73, James D. 74, and Andre W. 75 means I am out in the second to last group tomorrow.
I ended up working until 8:00 tonight with Richard K to get things ready for tomorrow so a bit of lay in for the morning now. Good luck to all and lets not forget the presentation at 17:00 Sunday.
