So after 36 holes yesterday I was back at Slinfold for my first 18 holes there in over 2 weeks, ready for my 8:04 tee time. Today Andre Willemse and Wayne Haige were taking on Lloyd and myself. As I have decided to take on a personal bet of up to £50.00 this year, on top of the normal £25.00 per head for charity, I was glad that Andre and Wayne decided to take up this challenge so we had a side bet of £50.00 on the match.
So all shots were sorted and we started up the first, a hole which Lloyd lipped out with an eagle chip but made birdie to win. The second was a half in 3's but then we managed to win the next 7 holes to be 8 up at the turn. When I say "we", I think I came in on 2 holes, while Lloyd played the rest as he went out 4 under in 32 with 4 birdies, this also included a second lip out for eagle on the 4th. Wayne and Andre mounted a great comeback with a half on 10 and winning 11 and 12 with Net Birdies. However a par on 13 was good enough for us to win 6&5. Lloyd played magnificently today as he went on to shoot a 68 (just don't ask about his 4 on 13) and we managed to shoot a Net 64 between us.
Thanks to Wayne and Andre and I hope they had a great day and of course the Charity benefited by £100.00.
The score card can be seen at http://slinfold.intelligentgolf.co.uk/Captainpro%202010 and there are also 2 slots still available so let me know if you want to play. And of course a big thanks to Lloyd for giving up hos time today and shooting a great score to keep my £50.00 safe.
