West Susex Practice Game

So today we went up to West Sussex for our practice match for next Saturdays PAV Scratch match. I have not had the opportunity to play to many great courses, but I think I could call this one of the best I have ever played. It is a par 68 with a SSS of 70 from the white tees, and we played from the tiger tees which adds another 150 yards, so 6400 yard par 68. And today to make it even more difficult there was a strong wind blowing. It is rated as 17th in the England.
I am playing with Richard Clegg in the foursomes next week so we played together (and you are only allowed 2 balls or foursomes). We had a great round and both hit some fantastic shots, and I was pleased to birdie one of  the shorter par 3's 8th (185 yards). The course has a lot of protection with heather everywhere, on the 14th it must be a 210 yard carry off the tiger tees and this was into the wind. Below are some pictures and these include 2 par 3's The first is the 6th which is 226 yards, and playing with a cross wind, slightly against, I hit 3 wood onto the green, the second is a 221 yard par 3 and I hit 3 wood and was 20 yards short. Finally a shot from Richard getting out of the heather.

Wish us luck next week
