Selig Bowl. The day after the night before.

So I woke up Sunday morning, and trust me that was a good start. Saturday night was a little hazy, and I always think I only forget things if they were bad. I remember falling off the bed last night, as my thigh is on agony when I get in the shower. Oh well glad I went for late tee time (9:56) and had stayed at random hall (only a 2 minute drive). So it was 9:00 as I got to the club, and I got the expected greeting, "hows your head, had a drink etc." Well I did decide I had to have a blow out after all my work in the gym. I understand I need to appologise to Cliff Marks feet and Mel, Mike Lowery's better half for a little beer spilling episode. If there are any more please let me know. (I am sure you will). So I met up with my playing partner, Rob Croxford, whose first words to me were "I have an inner ear problem and feel a little dizzy all the time, everything seems to be moving". This was not what I wanted to hear, as what was going on in my head was much worse.
So off to the first tee and I had a good start, with par on the first 3 and a birdie on 4. But then my dizzy spells kicked in but Robs went away for while. This continued for the rest of he round as we dove tailed well together, but I was glad to make it to the last, where I somehow managed to hit the green in 2 and just missed the eagle putt (phew no more poems). But the birdie had given us 40 points and as we came second before with 39 we thought we may have a shout. However it turned out this was only good enough for 9th place. Paul Dolan and Rob England had made 44 to win it. This may have been good enough to beat us in a captain/Pro challenge if only they were brave enough to challenge us.
Afterwards it was home to watch the cricket and what a great match to see England take their first world title. Oh well back to reality until next weekend when I play my scratch knockout and 2nd captain/Pro challenge. I am sure I will recover from this hangover by Friday for the TGI.
