The Last Day In Portugal

So the last day. It is always sad when a holiday comes to an end and it has been great fun over here this year. What a lovely set-up for golf there is at Vilamoura, we played 3 great courses all within 5 minutes of our hotel and there another 2 that we did not play. I would come out here whenever I could so if anyone wants to invite the captain on another holiday please let me know.

So on the course today.........We found it a little more difficult and managed -7 as a team, not near the 15 under we required. But Matt put in a great performance today shooting -3 which included 6 birdies and will give him the prize for the best professional for today. We found an interesting problem on the 8th Tee when we found a hedgehog on the tee, we tried to move it but it was not having any of that so of course we all had to use it as a tee. So if you complain about using Hedgehogs at Slinfold in the winter just feel a little for the hedgehog in future. I promise no hedgehogs were actually hurt in the making of this photo. Playing with Matt or any other good golfer is always such a great experience and I always seem to learn so much more that will help me play better. Learning by imitation is such a great way to learn and to do it this week over 108 holes of golf has been fantastic. I made 8 birdies this year over those holes and when last year I made only 1 this is a significant improvement, also my driving has improved this week and in the end I managed to out drive Allan on a few occasions and on the last today I was only 10 Yards behind Matt with my 290 yard drive. But for me this year it will be lots of practice on the short game.
So our last night here will consist of the prize giving in 30 minutes and then a lot of beer and more good food I hope.
Our final total of -31 as a team for our three best scores has put us in third overall, so we should get a small prize for that.
